Mopar Decal Locations
The decal placement instructions below are for various instructional and non-instructional decals found on various Mopar vehicles.
 
Road Runner Bird Locations
1968 Door Birds: 9/16" behind emblem measured at foot.
1968 Dash Bird: 1/2" to right of emblem measured at foot.
1968 Rear Bird without finish panel: Centered over the right side metal nameplate.  Note: The above two birds are actually the same decal
1968 Rear Bird with finish panel: 2 3/8" to the left of lid's right edge.
1969 Door Bird: 1/2" forward of emblem with the swirl centered vertically with emblem.
1969 Deck Bird: centered above keyway in depression.
1969 Dash Bird: right side of emblem.
1970 Fender Birds: Head of bird 3" behind headlight bezel. Body of bird even with center of headlights.
1970 Quarter Bezel Birds: 1" between helmet and inner edge of bezel.
1970 Right Door Inner Bird: Center the bird below vent window pivot.
1971 Quarter Birds (w/o strobe stripe): Dust swirl 1/2" above name plate. Front of beak 1" forward of nameplate end.
1971 Deck Lid Circle Bird: 1" above bottom edge. 1" inboard of right edge of lid.
1972 Quarter Birds: 1/2" forward of emblem, with swirl centered vertically with emblem.
1972 Deck Lid Circle Bird w/o Deck Stripes: 1" above bottom edge. 1" inboard of right edge of lid.
1972 Deck Lid Circle Bird w/Deck Stripes: 1" above bottom of main body of right stripe. 1" inboard right side of main body of stripe.
1973-74 Quarter Birds (w/o stripe): Swirl 1 3/4" above nameplate.
1973-74 Deck Lid Bird: Just above nameplate, centered over it.
 
Emissions Decals
1968 A-Body and 1968 B-Body: Passenger inner fender, centered between radiator yolk and washer reservoir. Read from passenger side of car.
1969-72 A-Body and 1969-70 B-Body: Driver inner fender, behind Body Code Plate @ 1-3 inches. Read from drivers side of car.
1969 Charger with A/C: Driver side latch tray, read from front of car, 383 engine only.
 Note: All early production 1969 models, up to mid-September, use 1968 location.
1970-72 E-Body and 1971-72 B-Body: Driver inner fender near hood hinge, on downward slope. Read from driver side of car.
1973-74 A-B-E Body: Usually on passenger inner fender. Read from passenger side.
 
AirTemp by Chrysler Decals
Two door A-B-E body: passenger quarter window toward rear lower corner, inside of glass (occasionally toward front of glass).
Four door A-B body: passenger door fixed window lower inside of glass.
C-Body: same as either 2 or 4-door above or passenger side of back glass lower inside.
 
Jack Instruction Decals
Usually in center of deck lid, especially if bumper jack is stored at front of trunk. If jack is stored along quarter panel, jack instructions tend to be on that side of the lid.
Charger Daytona: Rear instructions usually in center of lid, front instructions on drivers side.
Superbird: Rear instructions in center of lid, front instructions on passenger side.
 
Air Element Instruction Decals
Round air cleaners without fresh air: Vertical surface of lid near breather hose.
Round elements with fresh air: Vertical surface of small orange lid 1970-72.
Oval Elements-Decal #2946186: Usually toward rear of lid, readable from front.
Special Instructions: Toward front of lid, readable from front.
 
Tire Pressure Decals
 Note: B-Post is the panel the door latches to.
1966-early 1968: B post (usually upper part), usually applied readable from side of car.
Later 1968-up: B post below striker, applied vertically.
 
Miscellaneous Decals
 Note: The yolk is the "C"-shaped crosspiece forward of radiator top.
Jumper Cable Instructions: In front of battery on yolk top.
Warm Climate Anti-Freeze: Passenger side of yolk top.
"Mopar" or "Chrysler" Anti Freeze: Toward drivers side of yolk top, most cars.
Coolant Reserve Anti-Freeze: Passenger side yolk top most cars, drivers side on trucks.
Hidden Headlight: Center of hood latch panel.
Optimum Performance-Genuine Parts Decal: Right or center of yolk top on most cars.
Premium 360 Engine: (for 4 barrels; front of each valve cover).
426 Air Cleaner 1966-67: (Hemi) Forward horizontal surface.
Export "A" Post Decal-Public Law 89-563: Drivers "A" Post just above dome light switch, readable from inside of the car.
Export Fender Tag: Usually on inner fender near battery.
Warranty Avoidance: Factory race cars: inside glove box door.
Convertible Rear Glass: (Instructions 1968-71)- Drivers side behind sun visor on windshield top moulding.
Sure-Grip Jacking: (Not confirmed ever actually used except on Superstock)- Inside of glove box door, center.
Collapsible Spare: Spare wheel centered inboard of valve stem
VIN Decal on Left Door: Rear of door, according to coined-in arrows, readable from outside of car.
"Air Grabber" Lettering: 1971-72 Door Top: 2" inboard of door side edge;  2 1/4" forward of rear.
Brake Booster Identification: Randomly located on upper forward vertical flat surface of booster.
1970 Seat Pack Bees: 3/4" above felt weatherstrip; 1/2" between helmet of bee and weatherstrip, with door window fully up.
Luggage Rack: Forward runner, readable from rear of car.
