I designed that tool I needed while I was at work today... it's basically a light duty slugging wrench. Hopefully it'll do the trick.
I'll make it this week, and have another go at that locknut next chance I get.

Made that wrench today... now I just need to test it out and see if it's going to do the trick.

I also worked on the wife's 07 Pacifica this morning... new front pads and rotors, replaced the end links for the stabilizer bar, greased joints, etc..
Then I took it for a ride and bed the new shoes to the new rotors. All good now ;)

... and it fits... surprisingly enough ROLF

Probably won't get a chance to use it for another week or so, but I'll find time eventually. Eating_Popcorn

Good Morning and Happy Friday. We are going to be hot here in SO-CAL 90*... I got nothing in the driveway for the weekend.... That must mean something bad is about to happen... Hahahahahahahahahaha
Boy that tool looks good. Hope it works as well as it looks. Looks to me like that HAAS 5 axis made minsmeat out of the Billet stock... ;)

I know one thing... I sure miss all my friends that use to work in the Tool & Die Biz... They did amazing stuff...

Heading north for about a week... Loaded up the truck this morning, heading out in the morning.
Bringing one of my MIG welders and some other gear with me this time. A couple of essentials too of course, BBQ Grill and 24 assorted beers to add to my preexisting selection.
Then there's all that stuff my wife wants to bring up, tables, chairs, etc

Hope everyone had a nice fourth!
I spent the evening at a friends house in VT. They live on a lake, so fireworks were going off everywhere.
I'm still in NH this morning, but I have to be back at work on Saturday, so I'll be heading back to CT at some point today.

My sister out in CA felt that earthquake.
Nice T-Shirt Bob! You can never have to many Mopar Tee's.

Made it back to CT from NH safe and sound... good ole Montana purred like a kitten as usual.
We had a number of guests popping in and out all week, but I still managed to get a few things accomplished, not the least of which was restaining the front deck(s)... 3.5 Gallons of Solid Stain just for one coat. I also mowed the Hay Field that was once the lawn. It's amazing how fast grass will grow and go to seed with a little extra rain and sunshine. Of course I brought my welder with me this time so I could redesign the pulley system on the Piece of Shite John Deere Lawn Tractor... it actually cuts an entire lawn now without throwing any belts.
Down at the bottom of the property, on the other side of the road, the fields of Lupins were out in full bloom. Lots of tourist types out there with their cameras and cell phones taking pic's.

Mike, It was a real roller for sure... I live like 150 miles south from the center of those quakes... So we just got to ride them out.
AS for the T-Shirts... You are so rite... Cant have enough.... The Nickens are friends or mine. David and Bo.. Really Smart guys.. Met them threw a buddy of mine that grew up with them in Houston TX. I was a Crew Chief on my buddys car for about 6 years. It was a Brand-X car. OK, Enough of that.

Deck and all the work, looks good !!! Looks stunning, That View.... I could just sit and drink Beverages all day long and not get anything done....lol
Glad you made it home safe... Kick Montana in the tailpipe for me and tell her to be good, Not trixs on the road... :)

    Howdy

Haven't seen any car shows around here. There out there I guess, I just don't get the opportunity to attend most of them due to my work schedule.
It's pretty farg'n hot here in CT along the coast as well; I can't wait to get back up to the mountains in NH this weekend. We have a lot of company staying with us up there this weekend, so I'm heading back up on Friday to get a few things accomplished before everyone arrives.
Not much happening around here in CT... Charger is still collecting dust at the shop. I'm just going to bring it back home, before the summer is out anyway. Tired of waiting on empty promises. I could have built my own paint booth, learned how to paint proficiently, and completed the job myself long before now.
Finally opened the pool the other day... funny how fast the weather changes, all of sudden it's mid summer. We normally open the pool on Memorial Day, but up until last week the weather has been pretty mild this year.
I did do one good thing automotive last week... I finally got a chance to put my Truck Cap hanging system in the ole carriage barn. Just back the bed in, attach the hooks and hoist it up off the bed of the truck using a few pulleys and a simple curtain style locking mechanism. I'm usually alone, all by myself, with nobody else, when it comes time to take the cap on or off the truck, so this system is a big help.
