I thought I would post up a little vid I just did showing my fury when I bought her from a local wrecking yard and some of the work I have put in here since. If you have any ideas on what might make it a better video. Page transitions, music or what ever. Please let me know. I am going to do another for a friends 55 here soon. Any ways. You can see my car from when I pulled it out of the junk yard to now. Hope it doesn't seem to boring

Looks great! She has come a long way.
You pulled some massive amounts of rodent poop out of her. -------------------- Patience is a virtue, but flipping someone off feels better.

LOL Thanks. I filled the vacuum there a few times plus a trash bag full of turds and stuff. I made the vid because most of my friends that have seen my car thing that it was close to how it is now when I got it. I tell them it came from a wrecking yard and they think some one brought it in because it just quit running. I know it is not as bad as some of the cars found out there. But it was a project. I look at it as one mopar saved

That is impressive. That was alot of crap and lot of work. What was the time frame from when you got it from the boneyard until you were driving with the interior done? Looks good!!

Hey wait a minute!
1 - You cheated, you installed the headers BEFORE you planted the motor between the rails! 2 - That can't be a Mopar the dash pad had only 1 minor crack in it and the floor boards aren't rusted through! Other than that shes' looking great. BTW how did you get rid of the rodent and other smells! |

Thanks guys and gals
I fell into deal after deal when I started on this. I figure I probably have maybe a 1000.00 in the car total now. I bought a scamp for 600.00 and totaled it 6 months later. Insurance company gave my 2900.00 for it. I paid 1700.00 for the fury and 300.00 for the motor I found another wrecked fury. I gave him 300.00 for every thing I wanted from that fury. It was a sport fury with a great interior. That is where I got most of the other interior parts for mine. Head liner, dash pad and chrome. I sold the console and other interior parts. traded the front seats off for a 4 speed trans, 2 Hurst shifters and rods, bell housing, fly wheel, 2 Holley 600 carbs, aluminum intake and polished water pump housing. I sold the intake and water pump housing. The wrecked fury had a brand new disk brake conversion kit on it. I got the paper work for it as well. 1200.00 worth. They are on my car. I had the trans rebuilt and new tires put on. Wheels were only 60.00 When I added up what I had and sol. I found I don't have much money invested in the car. more time than any thing. I fell into other deal that cut the cost down too. I still have every thing to put the 4 speed in my car in the garage. I also have a full set of windows as spares now, just in case some thing happens to any of mine. If I sold all that. I could be looking at close to a free car. I really like the car so I am going to re do her with a fresh motor and paint once I have the funds. Till then. I drive the car almost every day. Over all though. I would say I only have about 6 months doing her. I was on temporary disability for a year so I had a few hours each day to work on it when I was feeling some what ok. |

Thanks, Headers are hedmans. I never found any made for a C body. These are for a 68 Roadrunner. I had to modify them a little to clear the steering box. I found that if you order a starter for a 66 fury. It fits fine. The starter for the motor was longer than my original. You would have to do a little clearancing for it to fit in. Part number for the headers I used is 78030
