Hi everybody.

My name is Mikael and i live in Sweden. Yeah, the cold dark country up in the north. biggrin.gif
First of all i want to apologize for my kind of crappy english but i really hope you understand me.
I just found this site/forum and im really hopeful cause this might be just the kind of people/petrolheads im looking for here.
I just recently bought myself an Newport conv from 1968 and now im trying to get her back in shape.
My car is wellused by earlier users and need some love and understanding to be back in shape.
It has an 383/727 attached to an 8-3/4 in the rear. Well thats what im been told. Its a matching numbers.

Here this kind of Newport is quite rare and not a common car.

Earlier i have had a Chevy Camaro from 1989 so this car is quite jump back in time for me.
I really hope i will enjoy it anyway. Just waiting to the summertime. Now the winter is running to my frontporch and its cold outside.

So once again a big HI from Sweden.

Welcome aboard Mike, your English is very good, for sure much better than my Swedish lol. If we can help, there's a lot of good people and knowledge that will be given freely, heck, invite a few of us and we may even show up for a weekend engine swap.

Mikael,
Welcome to the site. That is one sweet ride you have there. Just wondering how many days of sunlight do you get that you can ride around with the top down?

Thnx again.

Our sunnydays here i easy to count ofcourse but there are some hours when the sun wants to be shown.
Those few hours are the best. biggrin.gif
Here in Sweden we also have a great event called Power Big Meet and its one of the biggest carmeet in the world, some say its the biggest. The meet is only for us cars and if i dont recall wrong, for two years ago Jay Leno visited the meet.

Just for that weekend when the sun is present, the convertible is just awesome and worth every hour spending in the garage and under the uptilted roof when its raining. Well thats what i hope anyway cause this is my first convertible i own.

I inserted a link to Power big meet and i hope its ok to do that.

The photo album for the Power Big Meet is awesome! I'm glad to see that "Made in the USA" still means something in Europe!

That looks like an awesome car show!! I wonder if in 35 year or so years you will see a car show that size pop up for the "love" of rice burners? I DON'T THINK SO!!

I don't think many people know, but I own the domain name tunerz.com, and I have it pointing to MyMopar.com. So if you put tunerz.com into your web browser, it will navigate to MyMopar. I do this in hopes I can eduate the ignorant. laugh.gif laugh.gif
